Opera Blueprint Download

Simplify your planning pre-made visuals!  The Opera blueprint includes a massive deck of 60 slides with embedded recordings to coincide seamlessly with the lesson sketch series on Opera.  

First, students are introduced to the opera genre using TV commercials. Next, students learn what a libretto is, listen to famous emotional pieces found in opera, and play emotional charades. Next, Students will experience three of the most common types of music heard in opera: the Recitative, the Aria, and the Overture.  Students will act out these styles and see musical examples.  Finally, students listen to opera singers’ different voice types and interact with Blob Opera as a culminating activity.  As a bonus, we have included some extra recordings featuring opera singing fish, video game opera singers, and more to enhance the lesson plans.
