Moon Phases and Rhythm Patterns

The power of music is at your fingertips in this lesson that teaches the phases of the moon.  It unlocks the brain’s dynamic talent as a pattern-seeking device.  By unlocking students’ creative inner percussionists, they learn to recognize rhythm patterns and can make connections to their natural world, objects in the heavens, and, more specifically, the patterns of the moon as it travels through our night sky.  Students then can apply what they kinesthetically experience to a worksheet and have a chance to analyze and define classical music as it applies to the moon.
