Some other interesting facts we learned about Danielle…

How did you end up becoming a music teacher?

I grew up in a musical family and loved music from a very young age.  It was during my participation in school bands and orchestras that I realized  I wanted to be involved in music for the rest of my life  and ignite a love of music in others through teaching.

Did a teacher influence your decision to enter education?

I  had several teachers  from  elementary  through college  who  really  invested  in  me.  The kindness and knowledge they imparted  influences me to this day  and  I  strive to pay it forward  to  the students I teach and  teachers I mentor.

We’ve read your blog, and really enjoyed it!   What inspired you to share your experiences with other teachers?

After years of mentoring music teachers who  sought  help converting to cart teaching, I decided to create a permanent place to address the most frequently asked questions  about teaching music on a cart.

What is your favorite music teaching moment?

I had a preschool student who, for the entire year,  never  uttered  a  single word in music class.  At the first music lesson  of  the following year, I began singing my “Hello” song,  and a super loud voice  enthusiastically  sang  out above  mine and  everyone else’s, knowing every single word of the song. It was that student!

Fun Fact!

What is your favorite food?

I’m an unapologetic  carbivore; I love  carbs of any kind!

We hope you enjoyed getting know Danielle as much as we have.  Make sure to check-out some of her articles below.
