Vicky Suarez

Vicky Suarez is an Elementary Music Specialist at Shepard Elementary in Plano ISD (TX), where she teaches grades K-5 and leads a choir of 4th and 5th graders. Vicky holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Arlington (1989) and a Master of Music from Southern Methodist University (2017), both with a Music Education concentration. She also has Level 3 Orff Certification and SongWorks Certification. She is on the faculty of the SongWorks for Musicality and SongWorks in Action courses, offered through The University of Wisconsin at River Falls and Southern Methodist University, respectively. Vicky enjoys presenting to and teaching teachers. In the past calendar year, she has presented at Texas Music Educators Association Convention and American Orff Schulwerk Association Conference. She is the Immediate Past President of the SongWorks Educators Association, whose motto is “Playful Teaching, Vibrant Learning.”
