Martina Vasil

Martina Vasil, PhD, is Associate Professor of Music Education and Director of Graduate Studies for the School of Music at the University of Kentucky. She directs the summer training in Orff, Dalcroze, and Modern Band at UK. Martina has 14 years of K–8 general music teaching experience in Pennsylvania and Kentucky. She is a board member of the music non-profit, Music Will. and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of General Music Education. She is an Orff-Certified teacher and has training in Dalcroze, modern band, and World Music Drumming Level 1. Her current and prior students and nephews inspire her lesson ideas.
