Laura Bartolomeo

Laura Bartolomeo is a retired K-8 music educator with over 40 years of experience teaching in public schools. Since having enough planning time was always a challenge for her, Laura is passionate about supporting elementary music teachers by creating resources that have guided learning and are full of creative activities for students. As the creator of Oodles of Music, a blog, newsletter, and TPT store dedicated to elementary music education, Laura shares actionable strategies, curriculum ideas, and ready-to-use resources.

Laura received her B.M.E and M.M.E from Butler University in Indianapolis and continued post-graduate learning with three levels of Orff certification from Anderson University as well as workshops with John Feierabend for First Steps/Conversational Solfege, World Drumming with Will Schmid, and Little Kids Rock (now Music Will) certification. She’s been blessed to have taught in a diversity of schools including rural/urban/suburban, high/low poverty, Burris Lab School for pre-service teachers, and International Baccalaureate schools.

When not writing or designing curriculum, Laura enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, and lots of family time with her husband, two daughters and their families, and her fur baby, Jake.
