Erika Meeker

My name is Erika Batten Meeker and I have been teaching K-8 general music, band, choir, and guitar at Ross School in Ross, CA for twelve years. I completed my Master in Music Education at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Pacific and completed my Orff Schulwerk training through The San Francisco Orff Course and Southern Methodist University. This past year I was honored as the Marin County Teacher of the Year and a California State Teacher of the Year Finalist. My favorite things are watching our music classroom grow into a beautiful community of singers, dancers, and instrumentalists, and seeing young musicians do something they didn’t realize was possible. Outside of school, I love to run, garden, hike, and explore the outdoors of Northern California with my husband, my young son, and our golden doodle.
